application process

Our camp is about discipleship and discipleship is about building relationships and building healthy Christ-Followers. This means:
  1. We want to make sure that you are in fact a disciple, a Christ-follower.
  2. We want to be comfortable that you have reached a maturity level where you are prepared for the challenges of being an SBC camp counselor.
  3. We want to make sure that we are a good fit for you and you are a good fit for us.
  4. We want to be a part of your own growth as a disciple so that you are better equipped to lead the campers.

There is no perfect process for doing all of this, but the steps outlines below are designed to help us meet all of these objectives as best as possible. If you have any questions please contact us:

Step 1:
Apply

The application will ask information that will help us to get to know you better. As a young man, we know that you are not perfect. Don't try to polish your life to impress us. Just be honest. Part of the JC process is growing in your own walk.

STEP 3:
the interview

Once the application is received we will contact you to set up a time to talk. This is more like a conversation than an interview. we care about you and want to get to know you better.

STEP 4:
the decision

If you are selected we can promise based on our years of experience that you will grow in dramatic ways through the experience and you will have joined a long tradition of young men.
